    Event 1 - Jesus Calms the Storm

    Event 2 - Jesus walks on the Stormy Water

    After reading the two events of What Jesus does, How He does it, and the reactions and responses of those in His wake, we get to understand that there is something trustworthy about Jesus Christ, and that thing is powerful (Hebrews 1:3).

You may ask -     Can followers of Jesus do what Jesus did, too? Can those who forsake all for the Love of Christ do these things, too?

    Jesus says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. John 14:12 NKJV + (John 16:7; John 16:13-15, Romans 1:16, Jude 1:23)

        You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One Who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4 (speaking of the Holy Spirit)

        Jesus said, "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

        He replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20

Are there any requirements for doing the same works as the Lord Jesus Christ? Yes.

        Jesus says, "Anyone who loves his father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it." Matt 10:37-39, Luke 14:26

    He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" Pointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."  He replied, "My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice." Matt 12:48-50, Luke 8:21  +  Matthew 10:32-36 + Salvation, Atonement

        Jesus says, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to My Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples. John 15:1-17

Faith/Fear, Grow your Faith, Live with Jesus, Righteous Life, Abide in Jesus

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, Who is the head over every power and authority. Colossians 2:9-10, Ephesians 1:17-23

"This is the word of the LORD: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.Zechariah 4:6

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How does Jesus calm the storm with a Word? How does Jesus walk on a stormy sea, crossing it in a short time compared to the men in a boat who were struggling for hours getting no where? How can Jesus do this?
Jesus does it by His Own Word because He is the Word of God. (Genesis 1:1-3; John 1:1-3,14, 18, The Word, Hebrews 1:3)
Jesus does it all by Himself because Jesus is God in the flesh. "The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven." Hebrews 1:3
Jesus has all the power to do it because all authority has been given to Him by His Father.
    Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." Matthew 28:18  - I and the Father are one." John 10:30, John 6:46
    Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? The words I say to you are not just My own. Rather, it is the Father, living in Me, Who is doing His work. John 14:10 (Jesus' Power)
"Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted Him authority over all people that He might give eternal life to all those you have given Him." John 17:2
   Christ, Who is the head over every power and authority. Col 2:10
Jesus needs no one, but Jesus wants everyone. Jesus wants you, too. Jesus says, "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Can followers of Jesus do what Jesus does, too? Yes.
