Biblical Eternal Encouragement

        We are surrounded by many people in the heavenlies rooting and cheering for God’s will to be done through each of us. God explains it in Hebrews 12:1 

  Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  

  Consider the witnesses knowing you and gazing at you with great Appreciation, Joy, and in Secure Hope of what God is doing through you. Consider a shimming white cloud from heaven that surrounds them. There are lots of people cheering for you who trust and adhere to Jesus and His Word. These witnesses are the people who have persevered in their obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ before you and have been brought to heaven already. These are people were also changed into Jesus’ image by being born of the Word (1 Peter 1:23) and were renewed day by day (2 Cor 4:16) until Jesus took them home (John 14:1-3) to be with Him.

  let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  Hebrews 12:1

That means to discard other people’s negative thoughts, your own images of disaster, all lack of belief and distrust in the Lord God Almighty. Put off all excuses and rationalizations for what you do wrong.

Put off comparisons of yourself with others. Only compare yourself to the living God, and that will do 2 things. Since Jesus is the standard: 1) It will humble you, and 2) you know you can begin to reach the standard and come a long way because Jesus is with you coaching you all along the way. (John 1:1-3,14, James 1:5, Matt 11:28-30, Philippians 1:6, John 15:1-11, Deuteronomy 31:6). This will encourage and strengthen you for the best of you to be possible. 3) It keeps your eyes fixed on Jesus to enable you to be made more into the image of Christ. (Hebrews 12:2, Colossians 3:9-11, 1 Corinthians 15:49, 2 Corinthians 3:18) Jesus, the “author and finisher of our faith” and the “One Who lives to intercede for us” (Hebrews 7:25) is always faithful (Psalm 89:8, Isaiah 64:8). 

            When you run the race of life with and for Christ Jesus, you are running a wining race (1 Corinthians 9:24,Romans 8:2, Romans 5:21, ) to the finish and attainting the goals God has prepared for you since before the foundations of the world. (Psalm 89:11, Ephesians 1:3-6, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Ephesians 2:10, Philippians 2:12-13, Colossians 1:9-16)  

 

Five points from Hebrews 12:1  

1- We are surrounded by cheerleaders - 

            Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses of who lived their life by faith in God (Hebrews 10:38) – to encourage us that it is possible to succeed in Christ Jesus because others have done it before us (2 Corinthians 5:17, 1 Peter 4:11, 2 Corinthians 9:8, Philippians 4:13).

2- Discard all that keeps you from following Christ closely - 

              Let us throw off everything that hinders – that is, discard whatever deters us from following God with all of our heart, soul, mind, body, and strength. (Deuteronomy 6:5)

3- Confess and repent of personal sin - 

              And (let us throw off) the sin that so easily entangles, - sin is whatever is against God and His 10 commandments. Sin easily ensnares us like a net around an octopus. It twists and deceives us away from the eternal life Christ died to give us and the new life we were born-again to experience and live. (Philippians 3:8, Romans 8:8, Romans 8:9, Romans 13:14, Galatians 5:25)

4- Obey God with great expediency, urgency, and determination - 

              And let us run with perseverance – that is, don’t quit, but persist with urgency, no matter how you feel. Continue in doing what God has called you to do for Him and His Kingdom by teaching you through His Word and Holy Spirit. Be insistent with firm resolve and determination to take hold of what God has given you and proceed. (Philippians 3:12, 1 Timothy 6:12, 1 Timothy 6:19, Hebrews 6:18, John 8:31-32)

5- Take confidence in the fact that God has charted your course, planned your destination, now follow Him in it to the winner's finish line! - 

              The race marked out for us. That is, the plan and destination the Lord God Almighty has planned for you and tells you (John 10:4, 11-16,27-30, Psalm 89:11, Ephesians 1:3-6, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Ephesians 2:10, Philippians 2:12-13, Colossians 1:9-16)

            To overcome your fears and self destructive images of yourself,     

first and foremost, invite God to make the change the INSIDE of you. 

             In order to do that, God says there must be four important steps –

1-

Know you cannot overcome your fears or make an eternal way for your life by your own self. Recognize and admit that you are a sinner, depraved by sin and deprived of God because of your wrong doing against the holy God. Acknowledge that you can never be stop violating God’s Laws on your own and that you need and want the Lord God Almighty to be your Lord and Master over all of your life. (Psalm 51)

2-

         Understand that God is able to make you His child (John 1:1-2; John 1:14; John 1:29; John 1:10-13, John 3:3; John 3:5-7; John 3:16-21, 1 John 3:1) and is powerfully “able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:14-21). Know that “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17, Isaiah 42:9 . Know that “everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved” (Joel 2:32) from eternal hell and receives all of God’s promises because of Jesus' Atonement.  

3-

          Ask God directly to be your Savior from your sinful life and the Lord over your life. 

Lord God Almighty, I know that you are holy and perfect. You see me just as I am and you still love me. I know that you sent your Son Jesus Christ to this world to take the punishment that I deserved so that I would not have to go to hell, and instead would live with you forever and ever. Lord God, I am a sinner. I have said, done, and thought many wrong things. I have not said, done, or thought things that I should have. I am very sorry for all the things that I have done wrong.

I believe that your Son Jesus Christ died to take the punishment that I deserved for all the sins I have done. Jesus’ death on the cross makes the way for me to go to heaven. Lord God Almighty, I take every sin that I have ever committed and put them on the cross of Jesus Christ so that I do not have to bear them any more. Lord God, please forgive me for all of my sins.

            Jesus Christ come into my heart and take control of my life. I trust You, Lord Jesus. Thank you for loving me and thank you for forgiving me!! Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit to live in me and teach me. Please guide me, grow me, protect me and enable me to live your life through me! Thank you for making me your child! Thank you for forgiving me for all of my sins!! Lord God Almighty, please open my heart and mind heart to Your Words in Your Bible. I praise you Lord Jesus Christ! I love you. Amen."

4-

         Live with and for the Lord Jesus Christ out of love and gratitude to Him and all He has done for you! Read John 15, Friendship with God, and God’s Promises, Hold Truth, Right Life, and Believer.   + Life with Jesus

When you are a new creature in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17), 

you are free to See with God’s eyes into yourself, while not looking at your externals. If we focus on our externals, then we tend to see with the “world’s” or society’s eyes of judgment and condemnation. God clearly tells us that He sees us very differently.   

God sees our heart. In this event we see a Samuel judging a man as "good" by their appearance, and God saying He has rejected that man because of his heart -

But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7

            So when God sees a person who has surrendered their life and heart to the Lord Jesus Christ, God sees a clean heart (Psalm 51), person with a new heart and a new spirit with a removed heart of stone and instead a heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 36:26-27) God declares - “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1-4)

            So “Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.” Romans 8:33 So do not condemn yourself either. Go to the Lord God and confess and repent and go and sin no more within His power and love. (Luke 15:7, Acts 2:38, John 8:11, John 5:14) 

So the King will greatly desire your beauty;Because He is your Lord, worship Him. Psalm 45:11 NKJV
