What are some sources of fear?
Lack of Knowledge
I have fear and pain. I have despair for today and for my future. What is part of the Solution?
Lack of Knowledge -
God says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Hosea 4:6
Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:31,32
We are fearful when we do not know the Big Picture.
When the world seems so terrifying and unpredictable.
When things seem out of control with no remedy.
We are fearful when we are trusting in the wrong thing to keep us safe.
When we think we can handle it on our own.
When we are getting battered in our hearts, mind and soul and asking for help.
When we do not recognize who our real enemy is.
We are fearful when we do not know that we have a direct escape route.
It is important to have an overall Perspective.
Tired of Fear?? >> Perfect love drives out fear. 1 John 4:18
People - Their attitudes, beliefs against you, and even You may hurt yourself.
Institutions, organizations, groups, and governments which are made up of people.
You may be abused, criticized, ridiculed, hurt, beaten, scorned, and you may even do this to yourself. You may have lived in that kind of environment earlier and your scars from that have not been healed so you pass on that hurt to others. You may be over run with guilt and shame within. All of these cause fear that can be removed IF we choose to do something about it.
You may be living in a dangerous place and you have a right to be fearful.
But you DO have options: External and Internal options.
Internally you do have a eternal soul that needs nurturing. Only God can reach deep inside your precious and important heart. You are extremely valuable and necessary in this world, right now and today, and after you die. No matter how you feel or what you think others feel about you, you are critical to the betterment of this world.
God has given Every person a gift or talent, of encouragement, compassion, listening ear, etc. to share with others. Put yourself in a place where you can and will bless others and use what you have to give. You are reading this because the sovereign God deeply wants you to come to Him and to have a deep abiding relationship with Him based on His Work in you. Surrender to God, directly. That is the only way to escape the kind of fear that comes from within.
