Pain

Pain can come from three sources

The devil’s accusations of a Christian

The unbeliever living in rebellion to the Lord God Almighty

The Holy God chastening His child to obey Him.

Maturing the child of God  click Here.  (This will come later)

Just three sources of Pain – Discern which one is yours –

1.      The devil’s accusations of a Christian

10Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser (The accuser of every Christian is satan, the devil.) of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.

(How do Christians win and OVERcome satan, the devil?)  11They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.  (They were washed in the Blood of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, the Atonement, AND by there verbal testimony of what Jesus had done for them, AND by living in obedience to the Word of God even through to their death.)  Rev 12

See Spiritual War here on earth, World Violence, Big Picture, the devil,

2.      The unbeliever living in rebellion to the Lord God Almighty, under God’s Wrath, and in great need of repentance and regeneration.

When a person lives in a sinful life, there are physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual consequences.  Additionally, the person is technically dead, so they are unable to change themselves from the inside out. The only solution is for Jesus Christ, the Word of God, Who is the Atoning Lamb of God to make them alive.

20But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. 1 Corinthians 15

38Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. 39"Take away the stone," he said. "But, Lord," said Martha, the sister of the dead man, "by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days." 40Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?" 41So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me."  43When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!" 44The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, "Take off the grave clothes and let him go."  John 11

14What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? ...  17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."  Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.        19You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. ... 24You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.  25In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.  James 2:26  (Faith is real, and the proof of it is the exercise of Faith in daily life: moment by moment thoughts, words, actions, attitudes, etc.  Keeping the Word of God (Jn1:1-3,14,17-18, 29), Jesus the Christ, in your mind, on your lips, and moving your feet and hands in His Path WILL bring you along the narrow road that leads to eternal life.)

13When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. 15And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Colossians 2

1As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. Ephesians 2

18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Romans 1   23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3

3.      The Holy God chastening His child to obey Him.  The Holy Spirit convicting the Christian of grave sin through the conscience.

Ways God chastens >>

Isaiah 53:5     But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.  (This was for every person!! Atonement)

Our response for God’s chastening, punishing, and disciplining us >>

Revelation 3:19         As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

Sometimes people do not respond to God’s chastening

Jeremiah 2:30           “In vain I have chastened your children; They received no correction. Your sword has devoured your prophets Like a destroying lion.

Who is not punished by God>>>

Hebrews 12:8            But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.

As opposed to legitimate sons and daughters = John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.                     1 John 3:1How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

Do NOT consider if your gender if you had a gender operation or injections, or any altering to your gender. Your gender is what the Lord God Almighty designed physically for you when you were born out of your mother’s womb. Those physical parts determine if you are a girl or a boy.  (see other sites of interest)

We sometimes chasten our selves!

Psalm 69:10        When I wept and chastened my soul with fasting, That became my reproach.

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

3 We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed. 4 But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, 5 in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings; 6 by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, 7 by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 8 by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; 9 as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed; 10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.  2Cor 6

Great internal pain often comes from enduring compromise in our own soul, making excuses, rationalizations, “white” lies, deceiving ourselves, procrastination, and comparisons with “other people”.

God is the standard, He sets the standard, and He alone enables the standard to be met within us.  we are never to give up.  We are to continue in what we know is right no matter what, trusting our soul and our life to the Living Lord Jesus Christ Who lives to intercede for us (Hebrews 7:25).   "This is the word of the LORD...: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.  Zechariah 4:6
