No Hope

I feel so lonely, so scared, so helpless. I don't know anyone who understands just how I feel. I don't see why I should go on, there is no reason.

Everyone seems just fine without me.  Everyone seems busy and happy.  Why bother, I often think.  What does it matter?  I don't matter... I think.  Can there be any hope for me?  It would have to be a miracle!  A big surprise!!

Please, can someone give me hope?  I need something sure.

Without Hope -

We are sorrowful,

We have no reason to go on,

We have no confidence in our own future,

We have no expectation that things will be better,

We have no trust in anyone being able to help us for our future.

There is an answer click here for Hope

God tells us that -

Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so perishes the hope of the godless. Job 8:13

This means that those who are godless, who have no interactive relationship with the Living God, those who either never had one or have forgotten God,  it is their hope which perishes, dies, and is no more.

Proverbs 11:7 -When a wicked man dies, his hope perishes; all he expected from his power comes to nothing.

A wicked man or woman is someone who does not humble him or her self  before God and submit to God's authority.  A wicked person's hope perishes, dies, is no more because what he or  she expected from his or her power comes to nothing.  A wicked person may expect people to do one thing or another, might expect freedom, joy, peace, happiness, a long life, health, respect, freedom... but human power never fulfills anything our soul needs for the true freedom, joy, peace, and  happiness that only God can give.

But the eyes of the wicked will fail, and escape will elude them; their hope will become a dying gasp." Job 11:20

The eyes of the wicked cannot see God.  They fail to perceive what is spiritually understood.  Because they do not call on God, and do not walk with Him, they cannot escape from the punishment due to them on account of their actions.  Their hope becomes a dying gasp.

Proverbs 24:20 -for the evil man has no future hope, and the lamp of the wicked will be snuffed out.

The evil man or woman is someone who does not humble him or her self  before God and submit to God's authority.  They go their own way, not God's path of righteousness.  Because they walk a course without God, they will die without God.

Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. Prov 26:12

A person who sees them self as wise, that is, wise based on their own thoughts, actions, ways, merit, has no hope.  If that person ever saw the Wisdom of God, then they would see that God is the Only way of being truly Wise. By them self, that person has less wisdom than a fool, for a fool knows he is foolish and is not proud.

Do you see a man who speaks in haste? There is more hope for a fool than for him. Prov 29:20

Haste means: a necessity for hurrying, urgent, excitement,  confusion, reckless, careless.  No where is there a moment of prayer, reflection on the Word of God, consideration of the repercussions of the words about to come out.  As if speaking in the urgency of fear.  A person who speaks in haste does not look, think or consider where he or she is heading to, going, the consequences of their words, or actions.  They are traveling through  without sight, as if their life is in darkness.  But by speaking out, and not being quiet as a fool might, there is less hope for them than a fool.

Quick!   I want hope!!

For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.  Isaiah 38:18

Proverbs 13:12 - Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.

This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD . Jer 23:16

Sustain me according to Your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed. Psalm 119:116

Proverbs 11:23 -The desire of the righteous ends only in good, but the hope of the wicked only in wrath.

So what do the "righteous" hope for? Who are the righteous? What are the desires of the righteous? What is the ending of "good" that the righteous expect? Can I have that too? Yes.

Psalm 33:17 -A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save.

You cannot hope in things, only God is worthy of your trust. Only God can save you from misery in life, and misery after life.

Psalm 37:9 -For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.

Without God leading your way, your path of life will be cut off.  It is a dead end without God.  Those who know and are in a close loving relationship with God will inherit heaven.

Proverbs 10:28 -The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.

The righteous do what is right because of God the Holy Spirit living in them.  If you do not have the Holy Spirit, then you cannot hear God, and all you hope for is in vain, for it was only your own ideas, not God's better idea.

Quick!   I want hope!!
