To live without grace is disgrace. Those who want to be measured and held accountable by God for their own merit, without the help of God is disgrace, shame, falling short of the holiness, or the purpose of being set apart for God.
Disgrace is " Now to him that works is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt." Rom 4:4 Grace is "But to him that works not, but believes on Him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." Rom 4:5
My disgrace is before me all day long, and my face is covered with shame. Psalm 44:15 Why do you boast of evil, you mighty man? Why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God? Psalm 52:1 You know how I am scorned, disgraced and shamed; all my enemies are before you. Psalm 69:19 Take away the disgrace I dread, for your laws are good. Psalm 119:39 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Prov 11:2 The righteous hate what is false, but the wicked bring shame and disgrace. Prov 13:5 Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people. Prov 14:34
