Wife

"to get a wife that I wish to have and love me"

Thank you for writing to us.  We are grateful that you did.  We are praying to the Lord God Almighty to provide a wife for you that is of His choosing (Matthew 6:10) for His desire to enable you to grow closer to the Lord Jesus Christ (Jn 15:4-8).  We are praying that God provides you a wife whom you will love and cherish all the days of your life and so by her knowing God well before she meets you, she will love you as Christ loves you, with wisdom, compassion, and faithfulness.

Finding a great wife is impossible. Only God can provide a good wife for anyone (Prov 31:10).  In order to be ready to receive a great wife, and able to keep and care for her as Jesus desires you to do, God provides for you real food (Deuteronomy 8:3, Matthew 4:4, John 4:32-34) for your preparation of this magnificent gift.

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word, That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless].

Even so husbands should love their wives as [being in a sense] their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and carefully protects and cherishes it, as Christ does the church, Because we are members (parts) of His body. For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is very great, but I speak concerning [the relation of] Christ and the church.

However, let each man of you [without exception] love his wife as [being in a sense] his very own self; and let the wife see that she respects and reverences her husband that she notices him, regards him, honors him, prefers him, venerates, and esteems him; and that she defers to him, praises him, and loves and admires him exceedingly]. [I Pet. 3:2.]   Eph 5:25-33  AMP

Learn the qualities God speaks of in Ephesians 5, and ponder how you can care for others like that, then live it out, and then you will be able to live it out more intensely when God brings you your wife.  Learning how Christ loves (John 15:13, Proverbs 17:17) , studying how He was always moved with compassion towards people (Psalm 145:8, Psalm 145:9, Matthew 9:36, Mark 1:41, Matthew 14:14, Matthew 15:32,) , how He taught and lived with a “heavenly” mindset looking at the eternal picture (John 6:38), and how Jesus was experienced in being the head of household since Joseph his step-father died when he was younger (Matthew 13:54-56) , … all of these things will empower, enable, and bless you as you allow the Word of God to change (Heb 4:12; Isa 55:11) your soul as you read His Word and ingest it into your attitudes, mindset, and emotions (Romans 12:2, 1 Corinthians 2:16, Philippians 4:7, 1 Peter 1:13).

When the Word of God becomes difficult and reminds you of your sin, failings, and shortcomings, turn to Psalm 51 (~Create Pure Heart) and Matt 11:28 (~Come to Me) and 2Cor 5:17 (New Creation) for encouragement.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2

A woman whose husband treats her like a daughter of the King of kings, feeds her the Word of God with patience, diligence, and a good example, and enables her to be teachable and exemplifies being teachable himself, and serves her like Christ has served him – this woman can be a great wife for this humble, loving, and wise man.

We are praying for you, and may you ask the Lord God for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:33) upon yourself so that the Lord bless will you with the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit (The Holy Spirit in the Believer)!!  May you not grieve the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30, James 4:2,3) and my you delight yourself in the Lord (Psalm 37:4) so He will give you the desires of your heart.

God warns us “You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” James 4:2-3

God encourages us,

1 Blessed is the man (whose) delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.  6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. Psalm 1

Thank you again for writing to us. We hope this is helpful to you (Hebrews 4:2).  Thank you for blessing us with your questions regarding how to live with God more daily and for your future wife. We are praying for you and your future wife with hope and joy!   Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes;  Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.  Prov 3:5-8 NKJV
